Mens HAMILTON vintage 40's mechanical set & wind 19j 982 movement 14kt. goldfill

This is a very nice example of a mens Hamilton mechanical set and wind timepiece from the 40's. It is the classic dress style from that period and features a 14kt. gold filled case that has the curved profile look that was in vogue in that period. The crystal is perfect and the dial has a heavy patina but still has its minute markings as well as a clean second hand subdial. It is missing the number 7, but does not heavily subtract from its overall look. The movement, model 982, is a 19 jewel and beautifully striped and polished finish with no visible wear and tear, in fact looks much like it did when new. It has been recently serviced too. The straps are in new condition and is genuine padded leather with a burgandy brown gator pattern finish.
